Kevin Sheridan FCIOB
Kevin has served in the construction industry for forty years. He is a Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Builder and Professional Engineer.
As Project Manager with FÁS he developed several Nationally accredited and Pan European competency based training programmes leading to an MSc in Environmental Protection, Post Graduate Diploma in Highway Technology and national registration programmes including Building Regulations, Waste Management, Timber Frame supervision, Radon remediation, road construction and maintenance, and Water & wastewater Treatment (HETAC/FETAC accredited).
Kevin was awarded Honourary Life Membership of the CIOB and Distinguished fellowship of ASI. He has served on many CIOB Committees/Boards including the Learning and Professional Practice Board, Faculty of Building Control & Standards, European Affairs and Irish Branch Council.
He is currently Vice President of AEEBC (European Council for Building Surveyors and Construction Experts) and Past President of the European Council for Building Professionals (ECBP).
He was awarded Chair of the CIOB in Irelands Special Award for outstanding contribution to the Construction Industry in Ireland in 2003 for his role in negotiating recognition of CIOB members, including State registration of Building and Quantity Surveyors.
Kevin is a Leonardo Da Vinci expert in the following areas - Conservation project, Life cycle / environmental impacts of manufactured products, EU Hazardous Waste training programme.
