International Agreements
The CIOB has developed a number of agreements with international organisations as a way of recognising and supporting membership and standards. Every agreement is unique, reflecting on each organisation's offering and the benefits to be gained from working together. We promote best practice in the construction industry along with focusing on development of university courses, establishing training centres and developing occupational standards.
There are two main types of agreements:
1. Co-operation Agreements
The CIOB collaborate with similar bodies and organisations on events, seminars, research activities that generate mutual benefit. Below are the current Co-operative Agreements:
- Shui On Land Limited - China
- British University in Dubai (BUiD) - United Arab Emirates
- Abu Dhabi Centre for Organisational Excellence (ADICOE) - United Arab Emirates
2. Reciprocal Agreements
Dual Membership
The CIOB honour membership from similar Institutes, automatically providing membership into the CIOB at the same level. Below are the current Dual Membership Agreements:
