KONSTRUKTORFERENINGEN
A three year Dual Membership Agreement between the Konstruktorfereningen (Danish Institute) and The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Following the efforts that have been made by the European Union to promote the idea of greater harmonisation through an effective free movement of persons, services and capital, an agreement has been developed with the objective of achieving a method to facilitate and simplify the process of the mutual recognition of qualifications established by the Directive 89-48-EEC for members of both institutes.
The aim of this agreement is:

To regulate the conditions that deal with and decide upon the procedures for the mutual recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications between the members of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) as described in the ECBP Information Card Serial Number GB 1996 who are eligible under Directive 89-48-EED and Konstruktørforeningen (Danish Institute) as described in the ECBP Information Card Serial Number DK 1995 who are eligible under Directive 89-48-EEC

To facilitate the professional practice of Chartered Members as mentioned above as Bygningskonstruktør (Constructing Architects) in Konstruktørforeningen to accept as full member in Konstruktørforeningen all the community citizens who prove to be in possession of the academic diploma of Chartered Member accredited by the CIOB and of the kind that fulfils the requirement of Directive 89-48-EEC

To facilitate the professional practice of Bygningskonstruktører (Constructing Architects) as mentioned above as Chartered Members to accept as members in the CIOB all the community citizens who prove to be in possession of the academic diploma of Bygningskonstruktører BTH qualified by Danish Law, and are full members of Konstruktørforeningen
The CIOB is committed to assist and give the necessary professional advice to all Bygningskonstruktører (Contructing Architect) applicants who are members of Konstruktørforeningen applying for CIOB Dual Membership. An ongoing Recognition Agreement between the Higher Education Training Awards Council (HETAC) and The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
This collaboration enables CIOB to recognise Level 8 (and higher) cognate construction degree programmes accredited by the Higher Education Training Awards Council (HETAC) as fulfilling the academic requirements for Charter Member of the CIOB, and further agrees to provide appropriate pathways to such membership. The pathways will also meet the needs of holders of Level 7 construction degrees accredited by HETAC, through the achievement of credits at Level 8 in the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. Since 2001, HETAC has replaced the National Council for Education Awards (NCEA).

POLISH CHAMBER OF CIVIL ENGINEERS / Polska Izba Inzynierow Budownictwa (PIIB)
A six year Co-operation Agreement between the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers – Polska Izba Inzynierow Budownictwa (PIIB) and The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
By mutual agreement, PIIB and CIOB will exchange information, knowledge and make available publications, media and exhibitions, seminars, conferences to members.
