Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Fund
The CIOB Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Fund Scholarship is granted for academic excellence and leadership potential to bright, motivated and ambitious individuals who show the potential to succeed in the construction industry.
Scholarships are awarded to one student from each CIOB accredited university/educational institution who has shown potential in the early part of their studies and are intended to provide study support during their final year.
On successfully completing the work, each student is awarded £500 together with a CIOB certificate.
THE PROCESS
Each accredited university/educational institution is required to notify their local CIOB Branch Manager, whose details are available at: CIOB Branches, of their proposed scholar. Thereafter, each CIOB Branch Manager will send details of their nominated scholar to CIOB Head Office.
Applicants are required to submit their scholarship applications prior to commencing their final year of study and must be in CIOB membership, at the time they apply.
A requirement of each scholarship is that the recipient and host institution agree to undertake and submit (both electronically and in bound version) to the CIOB, a major piece of work, for possible publication, undertaken during their final year, as part of their programme of studies. (The scholarship does not require the recipient to carry out work over and above that required to attain their degree award.)
