Library and Information Services Manager (maternity cover) (LIS00136)

The Library and Information Services resource is a key tool in terms of providing a research and education facility to meet the information needs of our members, who in turn go on to develop and enhance the industry for the public good. The Library currently holds more than 60,000 global publications, including: academic and industry research, codes of practice, technical guidance papers, theses and journals, management books and DVDs.

Recently, the service has focused on providing online and interactive media, including e-journals and provisions to make e-books and research databases available online - bringing the service right up-to-date and making information more accessible to all members, both in the UK and overseas.

The LIS Manager will be responsible for managing the CIOB Library and Information service whilst the current Manager is on Maternity leave.  The main focus of the role is the delivery of the LIS strategy for development of the Library’s collections and services and management of the other LIS employees.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous LIS management experience (within a special discipline would be of benefit) and would likely have post qualification LIS experience or demonstrable equivalent.
