CIOB Pathways

The CIOB Pathways scheme is set up to provide accessible routes to CIOB membership for students studying overseas.

How do Pathways work?

The CIOB forms agreements with higher education bodies that accredit construction courses overseas. By recognising other bodies' accreditation, we are able to offer a route to membership for students, where the course they are studying meets the relevant academic criteria for full CIOB membership.

Pathways is a new scheme and the CIOB are expecting to further their portfolio of recognition over the course of 2009. The scheme has been pioneered in Ireland, where the CIOB now recognises courses accredited by the Higher Education Training Awards Council (HETAC).
