Membership Grades

Grades of CIOB membership are available to those who have achieved recognised levels of academic and occupational success. Depending on the level achieved, applicants will be eligible for one of the five grades of CIOB membership.

In order to be eligible to upgrade your membership, the following two options would be advised: Professional Development Programme and Graduate Dimploma Programme

Professional Development Programme

The Professional Development Programme (PDP) is available for UK graduates, or degree students, who want to progress to Chartered Membership via a structured and assessed route.

Graduate Diploma Progamme (GDP)

The CIOB's Graduate Diploma Programme is a fantastic opportunity for graduates to progress to CIOB membership. It is set up specifically for graduates working in construction who do not have a construction related degree. People will come from a wide range of degree courses and are keen to progress their career within the Construction industry. Each institute will cover essential knowledge for professionals to advance their career.
