"A Stitch in Time"

 The presentation will give a sample of the more interesting projects undertaken worldwide by Cintec. It includes videos showing tests to destruction of bridges and walls for dynamic loading for impact, seismic, blast loading and Waterwall.

It will show the method of repair to landmark structures such as the Step Pyramid in Cairo using our latest Waterwall project material to overcome the problem of support an irregular dangerous structure and also some of the background history of the site.

 

Peter James RD, FCIOB, MIOD. is the Managing Director of Cintec International Ltd a company based in Newport, Monmouthshire. Founded in 1984 the company has branch offices in Delhi, India and stand-alone independent companies in America, Canada and Australia with a local partnership in Cairo, Egypt together with independent agents worldwide.

The company specialises structural reinforcing of existing structures using keyhole surgery and is the market leader in this field.

 Cintec has been awarded the Queen’s Award for innovation in 2002, two historic bridge awards by the Institute of Civil Engineers in 2001, Environmental awards and the Western Mail most innovate company award in 2007.

The Cintec product is a patented bespoke anchoring and reinforcing system used to rectify structural faults. It is the market leader in this field and has been used on many world Landmark structures.

Cintec’s other product was originally developed as a blast mitigation device known as Waterwall. This product uses water in specially formed fabric structures to defeat improvised explosive devices and is currently in use by security forces worldwide.
