Heritage Buildings present a real challenge for sustainability; whilst they generally epitomise long term sustainable use of resources they are often perceived as "energy hungry" in terms of fossil fuel and are potentially incompatible with sustainable energy solutions.
This presentation is by Dr Alan Coday, Pathway Leader for the MSc Conservation of Buildings pathway at Anglia Ruskin University, a course that has been IHBC accredited since 1994. Dr Coday is on the Nation Committee of the Association of Building Preservation Trusts and review conservation projects around the UK.
This unit explores the facts behind the issues and provides an educated approach to this important topic.
