Legal, Economic and Moral – Martin Pearce

The talk will give an overview of Health and Safety law, illustrations of the real costs of poor Health and Safety management, and the moral implications of not protecting the workforce. The talk will highlight the reality of safety management by dispelling some of the myths associated with what is often termed ‘elf and safety’ by the media.

New Site Waste Management Plans – James Stapleton

A presentation on the requirement to collate documents following an accident within a designated timescale, and also guidance on how Site Managers can comply with requirements of the Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP).

Corporate Manslaughter – Stuart Mutch

A presentation on the Awareness of the current UK Health and Safety Legislation, and how to provide a better understanding of Directors/Senior Managers’ responsibilities in their organisation. There will also be an opportunity to sustain/improve management of health and safety, and discuss the implications of the proposed Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act 2007.
