Why should I attend?
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) regional centres arrange site visits at interesting locations throughout the UK. They are designed to inform and provide attendees with a ‘hands on’ experience of a particular project or technology.
This is a PFI project and the works comprise the construction of a new hospital facility on the existing Walsall Manor Hospital Site. The Hard FM is then covered for 30 years after handover.
The visit will include a tour of the site, a project overview and a workshop delivered by the Health, Safety and Environmental Team focusing on how Skanska ensures compliance over and above the requirements of the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
This site visit will take approximately 3 hours and commences at 3pm prompt. As it is a working site, PPE is required. Please book in advance as numbers are restricted.
Free car parking is available off site at Hollyhedge Lane, 5 minutes walk to site. Alternatively there is a public Car Park at Manor Hospital, Moat Road. Directions will be sent to you upon booking.
Who should attend?
Site visits are open to members and non-members interested in learning more about a particular project, process or technology.
