Why should I attend?
The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) continuing professional development (CPD) workshops are practical, interactive training events that aim to develop attendees’ capabilities in a specific area. They are designed to increase participants’ value to their companies, progress their careers and increase opportunities.
As part of a multi disciplined practice Baily Garner (health & safety) Ltd was formed back in 1995 as a direct result of the CDM regulations acting as CDM coordinator and previously Planning Supervisor on a large number of projects since the legislation was introduced in 1994. Paul Lennon CMIOSH MIIRSM MCIOB CEnv Maps Managing Director of Baily Garner manages a team who have acted as CDM Coordinators on over 3000 schemes from large demolition and regeneration schemes to small refurbishment and maintenance projects for both public and commercial organisations. As a result Paul is able to provide an insight to the Roles and duties of the duty holders and illustrate some of the problems encountered across all disciplines.
This event will provide an overview of the legislation and obligations together with practical steps to ensure compliance.
