Annual Subscription Notices - Avoid the Reinstatement Penalty and set up a direct debit!

The Chartered Institute of Building will soon be sending the Annual Subscription Notice to all members and we need your help to ensure that we continue to deliver a cost effective first-class service.

You can assist us by ensuring your contact details are up-to-date and by choosing to pay by direct debit.

Direct Debit benefits - let us help

Members who set up a direct debit are choosing the simplest, safest and most cost effective way to pay their subscription. Direct Debit payments ensure members remain in control, have a money-back guarantee and do not need to remember when to pay.

We can help you by setting up a Direct Debit mandate. We currently offer a one-off direct debit collection paying your subscription in full or, from 2009, a monthly collection over 6 instalments from January to June*.

Are your details up to date?

The CIOB has strict regulations laid out by the Board of Trustees regarding the payment of subscriptions. Payments are due by the 28th February every year and failure to make payment by this deadline incurs a £100 reinstatement fee.

The majority of members pay their subscription by the due date. However, last year approximately 850 members paid a reinstatement fee, for the most part because we did not hold correct contact details.

Avoid the reinstatement fee – log onto the members area of the CIOB website (www.ciob.org.uk) and check your personal and employer contact details or contact us on 01344 630831 and we will be happy to talk you through the direct debit process.

*This method carries a £10 administration fee
