North East Branch Golf Day

The CIOB North East Branch entered a golf team consisting of students and staff from the University of Northumbria to compete for the CIOB silver salver trophy at Slayley Hall’s Priestman course on Friday 27 April.
Northumbria University offers CIOB accredited BSc Construction Management courses and the Dean of the Built Environment fully sponsored the day’s golf. Competing teams from RICS, RIBA and ICE made up the stableford tournament.
The day was enjoyed by all and it was a successful networking opportunity, with all professional bodies committing to return next year and reinstate this annual event. Daniel Appleby (7 handicap), a first-year BSc student was thrilled at being able to rub shoulders with, as he put it, the leaders of the industry in which he is about to enter.
