CIOB in Ireland - Branch Structure

Thursday, July 05, 2007

The CIOB in Ireland branch is structured into five centres and an overall branch committee. Each centre has its own elected chaired committee. The branch committee is made up of nominated members from each of the five centres together with elected officers.

Included on the Irish branch committee are two representatives for the CIOB's Education, Practice and Member Services boards. One of the representatives is elected by the three Southern regional centres and the other by the two Northern regional centres.

We also have branch members who are currently serving on the Faculty of Architecture and Surveying board, the European Affairs committee and one who is currently the AEEBC's vice-president.

Two Irish Branch representatives sit on the CIOB National Council which is chaired by the CIOB president. These representatives are normally the chair and senior vice chair of the Irish Branch.

Ireland currently has three members of staff, Karen Halligan, our branch manager, Niamh O’Gorman, our administrator for the Eastern, Southern and Western centres, and Ashley Young, our administrator for the Northern and North Western centres. Their details can be found on the Irish branch homepage.
