The Chartered Institute of Building’s (CIOB) North East Chairman, Richard Humphrey FCIOB, set his vision for the CIOB in the North East at this years regional Annual Dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
Speaking at the event Richard said; "The focus of our plans for the North East is to continually improve the image of the industry and to raise the profile of the Institute; allowing us to engage more effectively across all disciplines, sister institutes and other agencies across the region, sharing and delivering best practice.
"Last year we formed a local business plan that will build on our previous and current successes, not just geared towards links with corporate aims and objectives, but with a strong emphasis on a more structured approach to succession planning at this Branch.
"We are creating a firm foundation for future growth by ensuring we maintain a much needed continuity and consistency at branch committee and with a distinct lead on increasing and improving centre activities and events for our members across the region."
A range of guests attended the event including CIOB President Martin Chambers, CIOB Chief Executive Chris Blythe, and the Deputy Mayor of Gateshead, as well as key industry players from the north east construction and business world.
The Dinner was held in partnership with Corepeople Recruitment and supported by Frank Haslam Milan Limited and Lexus Newcastle.
