Success continues for CIOB North East Chair

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

The Chartered Institute of Building has announced the award of another prestigious position for the Chair of the North East Branch as a member of the inaugural Board of Trustees.

Richard Humphrey FCIOB has been chosen by the CIOB as one of the founding members of the Board of Trustees for the CIOB following the recent governance review.

Richard commenced his role as a trustee of the CIOB following the Annual General Meeting which was held in Ascot on Wednesday 25th June 2008.

The post of Trustee will be for a three year period and the Trustees will govern the CIOB as the decision makers for the Institute.

Richard has recently commenced an unprecedented third term as the Chair of the North East Branch after being requested by the branch committee to continue in this role.

In addition to the role of the North East Chair and Board of Trustee member, Richard is also a national representative as a CIOB Ambassador.

Richard has described the role of Trustee as "one of the most important positions he has ever been asked to hold”.

This position rewards the depth of commitment he has shown in recent years and will continue to give towards the future of the CIOB both at a regional, national and international level.

The future of the CIOB is truly in safe hands with the members of board of Trustees and once again the North East is at the heart of the new structure.

The North East Branch Committee would like to wish Richard every success in this demanding role and will continue to support him with all his endeavours for his future within the Chartered Institute of Building.
