Multiple winners at the Hertfordshire Centre's Sixth Annual Golf Day

Monday, August 04, 2008

Held at Little Hay on the 21 June, 17 competitors tried to make certain that last year’s champion, Peter Wright, did not repeat his two-time victory. Pino Bonsignore, from Ashe Construction, succeeded him as worthy winner with 39 points.

Marlow Builders were once again successful as Steve Marsh won the runner up bronze with 35 points and Darren Edwards won the team prize along with Chris Rogers and new player, Alan Steel, from legal and compliance information group, Croner.

The longest drive bronze was won by Mark Doherty now playing off 7 – when does he find time to help Peter run Marlow Builders?

Sheridan McNight skilfully won the nearest the pin bronze. They succeeded Alister Heaphy and Terry Jackson respectively as last year’s winners.

A number of the players were past students from the CIOB Site Management and Direct Membership programmes. It was also a pleasure to welcome back Malcolm Smith and Ian Robbins and to welcome for the first time Matt Elms, Mark Ephgrave, Rory Ingle, Chris Lynch, Phil Robbins and Chris Wills.

Bernard Heaphy OBE, Croner and Marlow Builders Ltd most generously purchased the prizes. The CIOB Hertfordshire Centre would like to thank all those who attended, the golf club and the sponsors.
