Scotland celebrates its lottery millions

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

The weekend of the 21-22nd of September Scotland is celebrating all that its diverse and rich heritage has to offer with a Heritage Weekend. This special weekend is being organised by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to mark that it has invested a total of £1/2 billion in almost 2000 projects across the country over the past 14 years

As part of the celebrations many Heritage Lottery funded buildings and projects will be opening free of charge to the public. Visitors will also be able to enjoy some special promotions and events. The Heritage Weekend is being held in partnership with Doors Open Day which will also have properties open in the Dundee, Glasgow, Perth & Kinross and Shetland areas that weekend.
