The Wiltshire Centre of the CIOB welcomed 25 guests to one of this years star events titled 'Ground Source Heating & Cooling: Geothermal Solutions to Renewable Energy'.

The event took place at the Sheepdrove Organic Farm Conference Centre in Lambourn.  This building, which was constructed using numerous sustainable methods was the perfect venue. Our sponsors ‘Total Concept Solutions’ gave a very interesting and enlightening presentation detailing the following: -

• Why Geothermal?
• What is Geothernal?
• Geological Reports and Analysis
• Geothermal system designs, applications and options
• Geothermal scheme benefits
• Geothermal reliabilities and guarantees and cost 

Guests were also treated to a presentation by the ‘Sheepdrove’ Facilities Manager, Jason Ball, who detailed the various sustainable methods used within the building’s construction, as well as improvements that are planned for the centre using these same ideals.
