Based in Sydney, Australia, the CIOB Australasia branch supports an increasing number of local members and expatriates working in the area.
The regional structure in Australasia includes centres of activity in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and New Zealand. The regional office and individual centres run a wide range of events at centre level and aspiring CIOB members can sit the Professional Review directly in Australia.
CIOB Australasia has collaborations with the Australian Institute of Project Management, The Green Building Council of Australia, Construction Excellence New Zealand, ICE New Zealand.

The Chartered Institute of Building has had a presence in China for almost 20 years through collaboration with the Ministry of Construction, accreditation with some of the highest ranking universities and support from some of the largest construction companies in the country.
The Institute operates through three regional offices located in Beijing (North China), Chongqing (West China), Shanghai (East China) and an active administrative centre located in South China (Guanzhou).

The Hong Kong Branch is one of the most successful international membership regions of the CIOB. The Institute has a long standing presence in the region, amounting to almost 2000 members - alongside an ever-increasing membership in Macau and the South of China.
CIOB Hong Kong runs numerous events, including CPD for members and companies, and the prestigious BMYA (Building Manager of the year award). The CIOB accredits most universities and construction related courses in Hong Kong.
