	New city stadium scores highly with CIOB Cardiff members 29 September 2009 Cardiff Centre got their new season off to a flying start with a visit to the city’s new £42 million soccer / rugby stadium. Paul Norman, Laing O’Rourke Project Leader gave a detailed account of the project from design phase through procurement and construction and finally the complexities of public commissioning. The constrained budget necessitated value engineering and close client liaison to ensure a facility that was delivered to time, cost and quality. Following the presentation members were able to inspect the stadium, team facilities and offices and even got chance to take a peek at the teams tactics for the game!
