Robert Leslie: Branch Chair  
 Robert Leslie - Branch Chair Robert Leslie is the new Branch chair.

Rob Leslie became a member of the CIOB in 1998. He has a long and distinguished career commencing as an apprentice QS for a firm of Private Quantity Surveyors and progressing through various commercial and managerial roles to his present position as Business Development Director with Robertson Eastern, one of seven autonomous construction companies which make up Robertson Construction Group one of Scotland’s leading privately owned construction firms.
In addition to his CIOB role Rob was recently awarded an Honorary Professorship at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment and is a member of Aberdeen City Councils’ Construction Industry Liaison Group.

 Lynne McKay:  Branch Manager
lynne mckay  Lynne McKay, Branch Manager, is available to discuss any events advertised and helps co-ordinate and promote events that are being organised by the branch.

Lynne joined CIOB in July 2006. Over 22 years Lynne has experienced of a variety of industries including Construction, Retail, Manufacturing, Hospitality and the Public Sector in both administrative and management roles.  She enjoys the diversity of the role of Branch Manager with CIOB and the opportunities it presents for direct support to individual members and the strategic support to Scottish Branch and Centre committees.

 Lynne Gracie: Centre Administrator
 Lynne Gracie - Scotland

Lynne Gracie, Centre Administrator for Scotland. Lynne joined CIOB in March 2007. She began her career in Hospitality and Event Management and has gained a broad knowledge over various sectors of the industry.

Lynne is able to utilize her experiences to assist with the four major events held each year within the Scotland Branch. She enjoys the challenge of working within the construction industry and the variety her role brings.

CityBuilding Glasgow LLP The CIOB Scotland Branch are pleased to announce CityBuilding (Glasgow) LLP as the main sponsor for the CIOB Scotland Annual Dinner.


 

The CIOB has recently launched its HTML Newsletter system with the objective to update its members on a regular basis with information on upcoming events and recent news in their area.  The CIOB Scotland eNewsletters are usually sent out to our members on the 1st Tuesday  and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
 

We are pleased that the feedbacks from those who are receiving the CIOB eNewsletters have been very positive, as they found it a useful and informative way to keep in touch with the Institute.

Speaker Opportunities
CIOB Scotland will be considering its programme of events for 2009/2011 in the very near future.  We currently have a core of successful and well attended events and our aim is to continually improve our support to CIOB Members and the general public alike.  We have an excellent geographical spread covering the whole of Scotland and will consider hosting/co-hosting events in most major towns/cities.
