Committee member and Senior Vice Chairman for the South West Branch, Alun has served as both an active and dedicated committee representative for the Branch, his involvement included forming part of the Special Projects Committee for the South West Built Environment Awards, an event which is co-jointly run with CIOB in the South West and Constructing Excellence.

John is a past Chairman for the Brunel Centre.  Having trained as a quantity surveyor, he is now a Director at d20 a Sout West based Groundwork's contractor specialising in the Commercial, Retail, Health & Education Sectors.

Ray has supported the Institute an an Assessor for corporate membership and helping candidates to prepare as well as Ambassador duties and a Brunel Committee member.  Ray is an independent project manager who has also worked in contracting and client developer organisations.  The most recent high profile project being the construction and delivery of the £500m Cabot Circus retail led mixed use development in the centre of Bristol for the Bristol Alliance (Hammerson and Land Based Securities).

I am 26 years of age and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Construction Management and the Built Environment from Plymouth University, in June 2009 I graduated as an Incorporated Member of the CIOB. Since then I have had various work experiences including site management, engineering and dealing with defect management for a large International Construction Company, during this time I also had opportunities to work with students ranging from ages 7 - 16 as I was a Construction Ambassador. These experiences guided me in a new direction and after being made redundent, I decided to pursue a new career in College Lecturing where I am dealing with students 16+ teaching a variety of courses from First Diploma through to National Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.

I am a Project Manager for Cowlin Construction and have worked for them since graduating with a Construction Management degree from the UWE in 1997. Since then I have become a Fellow of the CIOB and have been on the committee for two years.
I have recently completed the South Bristol Skills Academy for the City of Bristol College in Hengrove and am look forward to my next exciting project.
