Eastern Centre

Overview

The Eastern Centre is one of five centres of the Irish Branch covering counties; Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Kildare, Laois, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford.

A committee is elected annually to conduct the business of the Eastern Centre.  The committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Construction House, Canal Road, Dublin 6 with the centre’s AGM held in April each year.

The committee operates on a purely voluntary basis, members giving their time in pursuance of the policies and objectives of the Institute for the benefit of the members.

Any member with suggestions, willing to serve a term on the committee or wishing to offer their services are encouraged to contact the Centre Chair i.mccarthy@sisk.ie, Branch Manager khalligan@ciob.org.uk or any member of the committee.

The Eastern Centre committee organise CPD events, site visits and social outings on a regular basis, giving members opportunities to fulfill their CPD obligations and to network. Two social golf outings are organised annually, one in early summer and the second in the autumn. Please check our events page for details as they arise.

The Eastern Centre, on behalf of the CIOB in Ireland, organises the bi-annual “Construction Manager of the Year Awards” (CMYA). The objective of the awards is to encourage, recognise and reward excellence and professionalism in construction/site management.

Construction students:
The colleges offering construction-related programmes located in the CIOB Eastern Centre are: Dublin Institute of technology, Institute of Technology Dundalk, Carlow Institute of Technology and Athlone Institute of Technology.

Students attending construction-related courses in these colleges are encouraged to become student members of the Eastern Centre.


 

Priscila Giuriato - Eastern Centre Administrator

Priscila Giuriato has recently joined the CIOB as Centre Administrator for the Eastern, Western and Southern Centres in the Republic of Ireland.

Priscila has an honours degree in Business Administration, with PRINCE2 and ITIL V3 certifications, and an administrative background of nearly 10 years working in the Brazilian, Italian and Irish markets.

She has chosen Ireland as her new home and hopes to grow with the CIOB team, contributing to the Institute’s success.
