Eastern Centre

Overview

Welcome to the Eastern Centre webpage!  The Eastern Centre is one of five centres of the CIOB in Ireland and covers counties: Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Kildare, Laois, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford.

The main aims of the Centre are to serve its members effectively and to actively promote the Institute in the Eastern region.

A Committee is elected annually to conduct the business of the Eastern Centre and would regularly meet on the second Tuesday of each month in Dublin, with the Centre’s AGM held in April each year.  Members are welcome to attend both the Committee meetings and the AGM.  Please refer to the Events Page of the CIOB website for dates, times and venues.

The committee operates on a purely voluntary basis, members giving their time in pursuance of the policies and objectives of the institute for the benefit of the all members.

Mr. Ivan McCarthy ACIOB is the current Eastern Centre Chair and is available by email at: i.mccarthy@sisk.ie

The Eastern Centre Committee organises CPD events, site visits and social outings on a regular basis, giving members the opportunity to fulfill their CPD obligations and to network.  Two social golf outings are organised annually, one in early summer and the second in the autumn.  Watch out for notices on the Centre Events Page or send us a request to receive the CIOB Centre/Branch eNewsletters to stay tuned with the latest news and events.
