Kent Centre Chairman Introduction

Following the Kent Centre AGM on 1st May 2008, I am pleased to introduce myself as Chairman of the Kent Centre for the next two years and I thank you for the opportunity to represent you for this period.

As members of the Kent Centre I do hope that you will take advantage of our CPD programme throughout the coming year.  At the time of writing we are currently producing our programme for September 2008 to June 2009. 

Once again, the topic areas are varied and interesting covering all aspects of the Construction Industry.  Our events are held at venues throughout the county and are an opportunity to meet informally with likeminded colleagues with a view to keeping up to date with current ideas and thinking in construction.  We positively encourage feedback from all our events and endeavour to respond to our Members needs at a local level.

Details of our events will be published on this website during August 2008 and a programme of events will be posted to all Members within Kent.

The Kent Centre Committee meets on a quarterly basis and I would welcome the input of any members relating to local issues within the CIOB.  If you wish to raise any issues please contact me direct or email our Regional Administrator Thia Braithwaite at Englemere.

This sum was raised at the Kent Construction Professionals' Dinner on 20th September through a note raffle and charity auction led by former Crystal Palace football player John Salako. The donation was made in memory of Mr W G (Peter) Jinks FCIOB, Past Chairman CIOB Kent Centre (1972 & 1983).
