Jamie Barrett, the Hampshire Centre Chairman,has worked in construction since leaving school, working for companies such as Tarmac Construction (later Carillion Building) and Mansell Construction, and 5 years ago, setting up his own consultancy company, Evolution5.

Jamie has dedicated his spare time to academic and professional achievements and states "the CIOB provides us and fellow members with the opportunity to support our careers and continuously develop our skill set.....and I, for sure, will be promoting this during my tenure as Chairman together with other great aspects of the CIOB and the construction industry as a whole."

Following on from the success of last year, the Hampshire Centre and Hampshire Novus are once again holding their Annual Golf Day Challenge  at the championship 18-hole Golf Course, at the Marriott, Meon Valley, Hotel and Country Club, near Southampton.

Hampshire Novus presented a wonderful opportunity for its members to hear an insight on the delivery of the Olympic Stadium on the 14^th March. Mike Breton of Sir Robert McAlpine delivered a thrilling presentation, including videos and anecdotes, to demonstrate the highs and lows of delivering such a prestigious project.
