Overview

Welcome to the North Devon webpages. 

 

Please refer to the relevant page for details of all our forthcoming events and others that might be of interest to you.  Details of past events and visits can be found on the news page. 

 

We would like to encourage you all to support the events we stage and we welcome feedback.  It is important that the events are of interest to our Members, so would you please make suggestions of topics or visits that we could include in our programme.  We are sure that many of our Members are working on interesting projects and any offers of visits to sites would be most appreciated.

 

Lastly, but very importantly, we are actively seeking members to join the North Devon Committee.  It is not an onerous task and requires a commitment of approximately 3 hours per month, but more if you so wish!  If you feel able to to give time to support the CIOB locally, then do please contact Peter Freeman below, to discuss the role more fully.

An introduction to your Chairman, Peter Freeman MCIOB:

Peter has had over 40 years experience in all areas of the construction profession and has been a member of the CIOB for nearly twenty of those.  He was Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Devon and Cornwall Branch before reorganisation, then became Chairman of the South West Branch, a position which he held for two years, before moving to the role of Chairman of the North Devon Centre;  in which post he is in the middle of his second year.  Peter has wide-ranging knowledge of the CIOB in practise.  For much of his life, Peter has been employed either as a consultant or at the sharp end of the contracting business, but has now taken the plunge and started his own small consultancy practice in North Devon.
