Southern Centre

Overview

Welcome to the Southern Centre webpage!  The Southern Centre is one of five centres of the CIOB in Ireland and covers counties: Cork, Kerry and Waterford.  

The main aims of the Centre are to serve its members effectively and to actively promote the Institute in the Southern region.

A Committee is elected annually to conduct the business of the Southern Centre and would regularly meet on the third Tuesday of each month in Cork, with the Centre’s AGM held in February each year. Members are welcome to attend both the Committee meetings and the AGM.  Please refer to the Events Page of the CIOB website for dates, times and venues.

The committee operates on a purely voluntary basis, members giving their time in pursuance of the policies and objectives of the institute for the benefit of the all members.

The Southern Centre Committee organises CPD events, site visits and social outings on a regular basis, giving members the opportunity to fulfill their CPD obligations and to network.  Watch out for notices on the Centre Events Page or send us a request to receive the CIOB Centre/Branch eNewsletters to stay tuned with the latest news and events.    

Notice for Construction Students 

The colleges offering construction related programmes located in the Southern area are:

• Cork Institute of Technology
• Institute of Technology Tralee
• University of Cork
• Waterford Institute of Technology

Students attending construction related courses in these colleges are encouraged to become Student members of the CIOB in Ireland – Southern Centre.

Southern Centre Administrator – Priscila Giuriato

Priscila Giuriato has joined the CIOB in 2009 as Centre Administrator for the Eastern, Western and Southern Centres in the Republic of Ireland.  

Priscila has an Honours Degree in Business Administration, with PRINCE2 and ITIL V3 certifications, and an administrative background of nearly 10 years working in the Brazilian, Italian and Irish markets.  She has chosen Ireland as her new home and hopes to grow with the CIOB team, contributing to the Institute’s success.

The Centre Administrator is available to discuss membership queries, provide information on any events that are advertised and assist with all general queries.  Priscila is based in the CIOB Dublin office and can be contacted at:
