Steve Baker: Centre Chair

I joined the CIOB when the Architecture and Surveying Institute became part of the CIOB in 2004.

With my previous experience and an accredited Degree in Estate Management from NEWI at Wrexham I became an Incorporated member. My work over the last six years has been involved in the Commercial sector undertaking predominantly Local Taxation Business Rates with Landlord & Tenant, Rent Reviews, Lease Renewals and Property/Land searches.

Married and living in Redcar I have just been diagnosed this year with Aspergers’ Syndrome AS.

I am currently in my second full term of office as Teesside Centre Chairperson. I also sit on the NE Branch Committee representing the Centre.

Diane Thorpe: Centre Administrator

Diane Thorpe has recently joined the CIOB as Centre Administrator for the North East of England.

Diane has spent many years working as a Secretary in the Plant Hire and Engineering Sectors and most recently worked as a PA for a worldwide plant manufacturer, she has a good knowledge of the construction industry and is looking forward to a new challenge with the CIOB.
